John Hogan comes from an enriched background of pharmacists and religious personages. He originates from the famous Donald Hogan family of pharmacists that was located on New Gower & Walgrave Streets, St. John's, Newfoundland.
Having been educated early in life through a denominational educational school system, John's ardent desire for further education brought him to Memorial University, St. John's, Newfoundland, where he earned a Bachelor of Education Degree with a double major in Psychology & Sociology. After graduating from university he began his teaching career in Labrador, Newfoundland in the mid Seventies.
After teaching for several years, John became a crisis counsellor, before entering the restaurant and hotel industry as a hotel manager. After several years of collecting and learning about antiques, John teamed up with business partner, Joseph Clement to start his first antiques shop.
John has over twenty five years of expertise as an antiques dealer. He has also done the many antiques show circuits in both rural and urban environments.
