Crystal has been executed or manufactured for over several hundred years throughout Europe. The English were both renowned and revered by competing countries for their high quality of crystal production for centuries.
Originally this factory was started by G.M. & C.J. Mason, Lane Delph in the Staffordshire District of England in 1813 and existed up to 1829. This would have been one of the top founding “fathers” of British potteries at the time.
During the 1820-1860 periods there were a number of Staffordshire factories producing these luster pieces. Attribution to specific potters was not really possible since most luster ware pieces of this vintage were unmarked.
