ANTIQUE OAK ARMOIRE WITH FULL LENGTH BEVELED MIRROR DOOR [SOLD]
This top quality antique oak armoire is solid oak and is not oak veneer. The sides are not thin paneled oak rather they are 1" thick solid oak. The mirror is .25" thickness with 1" beveling.
This genuine antique solid oak armoire is either of American or Canadian manufacture. No factory label was found as to the origin. It measures 28" length, has a width of 18.75" and a height of 73". It dates approximately 1900-1910.
COMMENT: This is a very smart looking antique solid oak armoire. With its clean lines and simple design, being that of a straight front and sides with its rounded corners at top left and right, its sturdy construction and relatively small size makes this little armoire ideal for a vestibule entrance, a small bedroom or small condo. A real space saver!
FURNITURE COMPANY & HISTORY: Factory of manufacture unidentified at the moment. Once upon a time it probably had a paper label identifying the manufacturer. However it is commonplace for paper labels to go missing over the years.
Length: 28" (left to right)
Width: 18.75" (front to back)
CONDITION: The front side on the left needs minor restoration. It obviously had a latch lock installed and was removed. Apparently it was converted as a storage cabinet for a gun collection according to the former owner. The interior has shelves installed but are movable. The original rod for hanging clothes is still in tact. Door is slightly dropped to the left bottom corner and is a little tight at bottom left when opening the door. This is no major repair job. There are no other restorations.
