Toronto Life: Good Stuff Cheap Guide

This Parkdale shop contains multitudes: a huge assortment of Victorian-to-1950s furniture, glassware and accessories. Treasures reward a patient browse. A hand-painted porcelain floral lamp table, for instance, is a bargain at $250. Dressers and dining sets are harder to miss and difficult to pass up: a turn-of-the-century mahogany gentleman’s dresser with front-opening doors is $900. Glassware ranges from American Victorian pressed glass to ’50s Murano. It’s important to look up; an impressive array of light fixtures ($100– $350) hangs from the ceiling.
