This Funky and Unusual Candlestick Ash Tray exhibits the American Eagle standing on the world globe. The piece is executed on a solid brass base metal. He is well modeled and has ruby cut crystal eyes. Although unmarked, he is possibly of American manufacture. The globe section stands on three legs. It measures 8” High.
He graciously spreads his wings as a protector of the world. After all, the eagle is the emblem of the United States.
COMMENT: This Beautifully Executed Piece Can Easily Make A Nifty Gift For That Patriotic American.
CONDITION: This brass globe-eagle ashtray-candlestick is in fine condition except one of the screw-on legs is loose. There is a little patina on the inside of the ashtray section which is to be expected. Other than this, there are no other conditional problems.
Minor denting with antique metals attest to the authenticity of the metals and their ages and is considered acceptable by collector and dealer standards. Oxidization is also acceptable and is considered as "patina" by the purists.
