This Brilliant Cut Glass Vase was cut during The "American Brilliant Period" of Glass Cutting. This Cut Glass Vase stands 12” High with a Base Width of 4 3/4"; it has a Width of 5” at the Top Opening. It does not carry a signature; consequently it may be classified either as American or Canadian. The pattern “Daisy” was associated with Roden Bros. cutting, which would be Canadian. However upon close inspection, their signature was not found.
COMMENT: Just a Wow Cut Glass Vase that is ideal for a colorful fresh floral arrangement! Such A Presentation Would Be A Welcoming Way To Greet Ones Guest To The Dinner Table!
This style of cutting was begun toward the later part of the brilliant period cutting and was executed approximately 1920. The floral were referred to as the “Naturals/Intaglio” of glass cutting. Such patterns were reaching out to the American & Canadian woman who wanted a change from the very heavy geometric cutting that as we know were executed by mainly male master cutters and not women cutters in the majority of cut glass factories. This particular pattern is widely collected for its soft natural feel and appearance.
CONDITION: EF condition except for one minor internal flake (or flea bite) to one saw tooth!
