This Dynamic Victorian Antique Crystal Inkwell, although unmarked, is of English origin and dates approximately 1870-1880. It measures 4” Long X 4” Wide X 4 1/2" High. The inkwell has a “Daisy & Button” or “Harvard” Pattern on all four sides and on the hinged lid glass top. The hinged fittings are of hand made brass with delicate chased work. Both the top and bottom are clear cut which gives the inkwell its stately presence.
COMMENT: This Stately Inkwell Resounds A Regal Presence that would be A Welcomed Accessory for A Person of Prominence for His or Her Office or Library Desk! Definitely a “Power Gift”! It certainly can be a coveted prize for any advanced inkwell collector.
CONDITION: EF condition except for a very tiny minute chip to one of the bottom corners; and a little looseness to the hinge.
