This Bold & Beautiful Vintage Wall Hanging Bowl was manufactured by The Granit Factory of Hungary approximately 1940. It measures 9" Diameter.
The central floral theme is a floral spray that is completely hand painted in vibrant polychrome colors of pink, turquoise blue, white, yellow and green emphasized by an enameled black ground color that is topped off with a white border.
The naivety of the hand painting adds to the charismatic charm and winning feature of this bowl. The bowl has a hole in the foot rim which was intended in production in order that the bowl be hung on a wall.
COMMENT: Elegance and country charm bestows this gorgeous bowl. It would be fitting of a country cottage setting!
CONDITION: It is in very good condition save for a small chip to the bottom right side which has been repaired. This chipping is illustrated in the accompanying photos. Such minor repair should be outweighed by the beauty of this stunning bowl. The marks seen on the back near the rim are paint marks from the hand painting; one of the marks is from the small chip on front of the bowl. Therefore we are offering this decorative bowl in "as is" condition.
