Weiss Vintage Blue Rhinestone Brooch Diamond Shape

This Classy Vintage Rhinestone Brooch Was Made By The Jewelry Company Of Albert Weiss and is signed WEISS. The brooch is diamond shaped and has three tones of blue cut crystals that are a combination of marquise, pear and round cut in prong settings. It measures 2 1/2" by 2 1/2" and was manufactured approximately 1950.

HISTORY OF ALBERT WEISS JEWELRY

The Company was started by Albert Weiss in New York in 1942 and continued in business until early 1970 when it ceased operations. The quality of its rhinestones and workmanship is comparable to Eisenberg and Bogross.

CONDITION: It is in very good condition. Very minor tarnishing to the metal backing.

It is normal for such vintage jewelry to show some minor surface wear to the metal backing. In the trade such condition is known as "patina." Afterall, this is not "new" jewelry and it has been worn on many occasions over the years. A certain amount of wear is acceptable and should be expected.
