The carving detail is exquisitely executed. Each piece of his art is individually hand carved to express passion and rural life in a naturalistic fashion. This Sailor Man expresses his emotions and avocation in the facial detail that this artist has captured with loving care as he chipped away to reveal this figure. Quebec wood carvers’ creations are eagerly sought and in a few decades escalate greatly in value.
CONDITION: There is a small chip on his hat situated on the back left side, as is illustrated in the photo.
