This Very Fine Quality Porcelain Cup & Saucer was made by the famous Hutschenreuther factory in Gelb, Bavaria, Germany and dates approximately 1950-1960. The interior of the cup and saucer exhibits lovely hand painted grapes and blossoms on a branch, on a very white porcelain background, outlined by a lavish 24Kt. gold banded rim on both cup and saucer.

HISTORY OF HUTSCHENREUTHER FACTORIES
In the early part of the 20th. Century; Hutschenreuther grew quickly by absorbing factories at Attrohlau (1909), Arzburg (1918) and Tirschenreuth (1927).The branches of the company were united in 1969. Hutschenreuther was a trend-setter and enabled Germany to gain an excellent reputation in the European china industry. The Hutschenreuther “Mark of the Lion” is a symbol of excellence that continues to this day.
This factory has been known to export porcelain blanks to the United States to such renowned factories as Pickard and Theomun Olsen Osborne Studios in Chicago for their famous china painting.
