ADAMS CALYX WARE ENGLISH VINTAGE SOUP LADLE

This Lovely English Soup Ladle is marked on the back as follows: “Calyx Ware… Real English Ironstone… Adams…Estb.1657, England, MICRATEX 2087”. This ladle is transferware that is partially hand painted with petite yellow, red and mauve flowers on the interior of the bowl with a pink border around the rim of the bowl, topped off with a thin edge of mustard yellow. It dates approximately 1960-1970. From tip of handle to tip of ladle bowl, it measures 11" Length, the bowl is 4” Diameter.

COMMENT: Great quality and can be complimentary to any soup tureen! Ladles are desirable and often get broken; the bowl often gets severed from its handle and once that happens, it is really not repairable especially if one wishes to use it.
