HISTORY OF IMPERIAL GLASS COMPANY
The Imperial Glass Company was started Jan.1904 at Bellaire, Ohio, United States by Mr. Muhlemann with Victor Wickle as department head. It was not until 1909 that the company first produced their “iridescent” line of glass which was known as “carnival”. This specific pattern was one of the best selling patterns for Imperial Glass Co. In 1973 this company became a subsidiary of the Lenox Company.
Reproduction or reissue of this pattern was produced from 1960-1980. The re-issue has a much heavier and thicker blank; and was produced in the color of “red”.
CONDITION: Excellent! It has one air bubble which was commonplace for this kind of glass. It is not considered a defect or damage!
