This Elaborately Brilliant Cut Berry Bowl, although not signed has all the signs of a Libbey manufactured piece. Libbey Factory was situated in Toledo, Ohio, USA. It measures 8” Diameter by 3 7/8” Depth or Height; and dates circa 1900. The pattern is a series of intersecting hobstars with pointed panels of strawberry diamond and cross hatching. The rim has a unique saw tooth edge. The clarity of this blank has a shimmering effect which is one of the traits of Libbey glass. Exquisite cutting and shape at top edges, as is with this bowl, are other good indicators that this is Libbey.

Reflecting The Light Of A Crystal Chandelier From Above Can Make This Little Jewel Gleam. This is what brilliant cut glass was meant to do: Dazzle & Amaze!
CONDITION: Very good, no serious chipping to the saw tooth rim, some minor bruising.
