Czech. Art Deco ''Cranberry Garnet'' Crystal Brooch, C. 1920-30

This Dazzling Cranberry Garnet Brooch Is Of Czechoslovakian Origin and was manufactured approximately 1920-1930. It has 12 cranberry garnet baguettes which are “emerald” cut glass surrounding the exterior of the brooch with an internal basket or pannier of flowers that contains 8 cranberry garnet baguettes which are also “emerald” cut. Each baguette is claw or prong set and has an open foil back. The flower is elaborately executed on a silver toned base metal; such was typical for fine pieces of Czechoslovakian jewelry of this period. The pin portion is in solid brass and is stamped “MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA”. The pin is original to the brooch.
