Czechoslovakian Vintage Art Deco Garnet Crystal Brooch

This Dazzling Vintage Art Deco Cranberry Garnet Rhinestone Brooch is of Czechoslovakian origin and was manufactured approximately 1920-1930. It measures 1 5/8" Length by 1 1/4" Width. It has 12 cranberry garnet baguettes which are emerald cut glass surrounding the exterior of the brooch with an internal basket or pannier of flowers that contains 8 cranberry garnet baguettes which are also emerald cut. Each baguette is claw or prong set and has an open foil back. The flower is elaborately executed on a silver toned base metal; such was typical for fine pieces of Czechoslovakian jewelry of this period. The pin portion is in solid brass and is stamped MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA. The pin is original to the brooch.

CONDITION: Very good condition except for very minor wear at some high points or corners of a few of the stones which is barely noticeable, unless brought to ones attention. Such wear is to be expected for a piece of this vintage.

It is normal for such vintage jewelry to show some minor surface wear to the metal backing. In the trade such condition is known as "patina." Afterall, this is not "new" jewelry and it has been worn on many occasions over the years. A certain amount of wear is acceptable and should be expected.
