This Lovely Powder Compact is gold tone and is executed on solid brass. It measures 3 1/4'' Diameter. It has a charming design of overlapping circles which is very deco in flavor. However, it is not art deco. It was manufactured in the 1950's. There are no manufacturer's marks on it. It has a monogram "ER", possibly the owner's initials or even the initials representing Queen Elizabeth, whose initials are ER which stands for Elizabeth Regina.
Such monogramming was common on objects at the time in England on many objects that were produced just before coronation of Kings & Queens. This and many other objects were always monogrammed one year prior to coronation of Royalty. In the case of this compact, this is certainly a possibility.
COMMENT: This Sweet Little Powder Compact is Indeed A Spiffy Accessory For The Vanity Table or For The Debonair Woman On An Evening Out!
CONDITION: This monogrammed ER powder compact is in fine condition. It has acceptable normal wear which is referred to as patina.
