This Charming Bone China Cup & Saucer was manufactured by Samuel Radford Ltd., Staffordshire, England approximately 1947-1957.
It is hand painted and artist numbered with a gilder’s number on base of cup. It has an elaborate spray of violets. The saucer measures 5 1/2" Diameter; the cup measures 3 1/2" Diameter by 2 1/4" High.
WHO WAS SAMUEL RADFORD?
Samuel Radford began business 1879 and continued until 1957. He and his brother operated on High Street, Fenton (formerly at Longton), Staffordshire Potteries.
