COMMENT: Ideal for that avid collector of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia!
She was born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1st. 1926 Los Angeles, U.S.A. On Aug. 5 1962 her body was discovered in her home in Brentwood, California. Supposedly she died as a result of a drug overdose; this has been questioned for years after her death. This screen icon was only 36 years old at the time of her untimely death. Since then, many people worldwide lament over her death and question the combinative reasons and events leading to her death.
In 1946, she had signed her first Studio contract with 20th. Century Fox and changed her name to Marilyn Monroe. From there her world would be no longer that of a poor orphan girl but soar to the apex of the entertainment industry and into the famous world of socialites, that of famous writers e.g. Arthur Miller, famous baseball stars e.g. Joe DiMaggio all the way to President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, president of the United States 1960 to November 1964, the time of his assignation. As we fondly know her famous “Happy Birthday” song to him at Madison Square Garden stands out in our memory of her. One could go on for hours about her. Indeed she was a great actress and her memory still is cherished by the world. Today, her body rests in the Corridor of Memories at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California.
CONDITION: Her right arm has a clean sever and has been reattached where her arm band is located as she holds her arm behind her head. This is unfortunate; however this can be professionally restored. Other than this, there are no other damages. I certainly would think this figurine to be worthy of restoration due to the fact, how many others are available out there and also it is a very low # in the limited Edition being # 1356 out of 20,000 made. Because of her early production number, she still has a considerate value. So we are offering her to you at this very reasonable price in order that you attain a great piece of movie memorabilia that under normal circumstances would be substantially higher in price. Therefore one can have her restored affordably and have a great collectionaire piece at a great price to show with great pride.
