This Attractive Late Victorian Set of 8 Dessert Plates was manufactured by the factory of Marx and Gutherz, Austria. The trademark for this company is Carlsbad China with the Imperial Crown. Each plate has six delicate clusters of pink transfer print roses that is partially hand painted. The border of each plate is scalloped and delicately embossed. Each plate measures 7 1/2" Diameter. The set dates circa 1900. Sold only as a set of 8 plates.
COMMENT: Just lovely for entrees or after dinner dessert! If you so desire a little taste of Victorian charm and flair, these are the plates for you!
CONDITION: They are in fine condition save for slight wear on the gold gilded rims which is acceptable and expected for china of this vintage, such is the case on many occasions. One plate has a small spider in the middle which is not a great deterrent on the face. After all, it is a complete set of 8 porcelain dessert plates that is one hundred years old.
