BRILLIANT CUT GLASS NAPPY 7 POINT STAR DESIGN

This Exquisitely Cut Glass Nappy is from the Brilliant Period of Cut Glass and because it does not carry a signature may be either of American or Canadian manufacture and dates circa 1900. It measures 6 1/8” Diameter by 1 1/4" Depth or Height. It has a beautiful 7 point star center with a 16 point hobstar between each apex of the major 7 point star center. The 7 point star center has very elaborate cutting within.

COMMENT: This Brilliant Cut Glass Nappy is Absolutely Exquisite! It has great clarity of blank and exudes great craftsmanship of cutting regardless of maker; it is “cream de la cream” example of brilliant cutting in either the American or Canadian Cut Glass Era.

CONDITION: EF condition! One saw tooth is missing and one saw tooth has a small chip. Note that the little yellow dot is not a defect in the glass, rather it is a reflexion of light as the photo was taken.
