This Fabulous Canadian Brilliant Period Cut Glass Water Pitcher is signed by Clapperton with the cloverleaf trademark and a “C”, located down from the handle on the base and dates 1905 before he joined with Gundy. The pitcher stands eloquently at 10 3/8” High; and has a Base Diameter of 6 1/4”. The pitcher has an engraved daisy on both sides as well a hobstar near the base on both sides accompanied by a series of cross hatching and strawberry diamond throughout the design, finished off with a wonderful hobstar bottom which adds to the desirability of the piece.
COMMENT: This Lovely Brilliant Cut Glass Pitcher Can Easily Compliment OR Grace The Dinning Table As You Receive Your Guests For That Festive Occasion. Makes a great collection piece or a classy gift!
These floral designs are referred to by many collectors and dealers as the “Intaglio” designs or the “Naturals”.
