CLAPPERTON CANADIAN BRILLIANT CUT GLASS CRUET

This Canadian Brilliant Period Cut Glass Cruet was made by Clapperton with the” clover leaf” signature and a “C”, which dates 1905; before he joined up with Gundy in 1906. The cruet measures 7” High with its stopper. Finely cut hobstars with fans, honey combed applied handle, honey combed cut stopper, with rayed bottom makes this cruet a delightful collector item.

COMMENT: Cruets are avidly collected because they are small, attractive, affordable and fine examples of craftsmanship on a small scale. They are affordable investment pieces that are easily found and can only increase in value.
