Dutch Delft Vintage Jardiniere Or Planter [SOLD]

This Fabulous Blue & White Delft Jardinière was manufactured by the Distel Factory of Holland approximately 1960.  It measures 9 1/2" Diameter x 7 1/2" High.

It is not transfer print, rather it is totally hand painted underglaze on a pottery body that is faience in nature and is referred to as delft. The texture of the pottery is creamy and soft which is a great medium for hand painting. This type pottery has lead content which is one of the main ingredients. Large floral decoration, on both sides, is accentuated by the ornate fluted rim work.

COMMENT: A Charming Planter/Jardinière that can easily bring warmth to any room in your décor!

CONDITION: There is a small chip underneath one of the rippled sections on the rim. This is not a great deterrent; such a minor damage can be restored; it does not distract from the beauty of this jardinière. Upon pricing, this damage was taken into consideration. Therefore this planter is being offered to you in "as is" condition.
