BAYER FRENCH VINTAGE BLOWN CRYSTAL CENTERPIECE [SOLD]

This Large Art Glass Blown Crystal Centerpiece carries a signature, namely “BAYER”, and is of French origin from France rather than Belgium. It was manufactured approximately 1960. It is an absolutely wonderful piece of Contemporary Glass that is considered as “Art Modern”. It measures 22” Long by 9” Wide by 6 1/2" High.

COMMENT: This Elaborate Elongated Blown Crystal Centerpiece can most definitely compliment any Hall Entrance Table or Sofa Table! It is a statement in itself and need not have a fruit or floral arrangement.

CONDITION: Great except for some cloudiness on the center bottom. The cloudiness was possibly caused from the chemical acidity of fruit resting too long. As with alcohol reacting with crystal, fruits also react with crystal the same way. If alcohol or anything containing acidity sets too long, it will react with the lead content in the crystal and eventually cause a “cloudy” effect in the glass. Some dealers call this condition “sick” glass. But realistically, do not despair! This can and may be polished professionally by a glass polisher and become good as new. Such a condition is also prevalent with many crystal decanters.
