DRESDEN GERMANY ANTIQUE PORCELAIN TEAPOT

This Adorable Little Teapot is made by one of the Dresden factories, Germany. It is marked, as you will see in the photo. Judging from the art nouveau style, type of porcelain and quality of hand painting, we estimate this piece to have been made circa 1900. It measures 8” Length from spout to handle and stands 4" High.

It is an adorable shape and is stunningly hand painted. It has a beautiful array of vibrant multicolored flowers with lavish 24 Kt. gold gilding applied to the circumference of the lid and neck.

It is a true testament to the exquisite work of the Dresden Factories of Germany at the time. The quality and refinement of this porcelain teapot speaks for itself.

CONDITION: The teapot is in great condition except for the lid which has been riveted and the finial reattached. These conditional problems are illustrated in the photos below. Therefore this teapot is being offered, at a fraction of the cost of a mint condition one, to you in "as is" condition.

Riveting was a form of repair that was done some eighty years ago, such repairs are not done today and have not been done for over some seventy years.

Certain damages are understood and acceptable in terms of rarity of such items and of course, price difference is reflected by condition.  As all collectors know, professional restoration is recommended for certain exquisite pieces, depending on value of the piece weighed by cost of restoration.
