This lovely Art Nouveau windmill scene cake plate is polychrome transfer and has a lovely embossed edge with open work at left and right of the plate. The scene is punctuated by a beautiful embossed border and beaded edge with a gold gilded internal ring. This Art Nouveau cake plate dates approximately 1890-1910. The backstamp is ink printed in very pale green and is faintly marked. The mark reads what looks like IBERMRKB written in a semi circle or arc with faintly marked WARE GERMANY written underneath.
COMMENT: For lovers of Art Nouveau porcelain, this pretty Dutch windmill scene plate makes an affordable gift.
MANUFACTURER: Ink marks are very faint and are illegible.

CONDITION: It is in great condition except for a little wear to the sponge gold gilded rim or edge. The backstamp is faint and difficult to read even with a lens, therefore was not really possible to photograph.
