This Vintage Ladies Cocktail Watch was manufactured by the Longines Watch Company of Switzerland and dates approximately 1950. It is 10Kt. Gold Filled. The strap is also 10Kt. Gold Filled and is marked SPEIDEL and has the Patten No. 2689450. The shape of the watch is octagonal. The face measures 5/8” Wide by 1 1/8 Long.
COMMENT: This Company began in business in 1832 and is still in business today. Its world renowned reputation ranks this watch company as one of the top in the world. Their slogan for years has been “elegance is an attitude”.
CONDITION: The watch is in great running order. The face has some surface scratching. The band has one spoke which is loose on the interior of the band. The strap or band is original to the watch.
As with many older watches of this vintage, they usually need professional cleaning by a jeweler who deals with watch repairs.
