Large punctuating cobalt blue flowers with green leaves as a central theme is accentuated by a border of naive pedals and garlands. This beautiful large blue and white vintage plaque/charger has two holes in the foot-rim at the back which means that it was intended to hang on a wall. However it may stand in a large rack for a dining room display on a sideboard or buffet. The factory information is written in the Polish language on back of wall plaque. Some dealers and collectors refer to this piece as a Charger or Dasher.
COMMENT: Top quality faience! For a great decorative splash of color, this gorgeous blue and white wall plaque can easily accommodate. Great for country decor!
MANUFACTURER: AJANS
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Poland
MEASUREMENTS:
Diameter: 14.50" (round)
CIRCA: 1960
CONDITION: It is in great condition except for a very tiny factory glaze slip on front which occurred during the firing process or stacking process. This is not considered as "damage." It is common for hand-made products to be prone to minor factory defects. This is so minor that it is not really worthy of mention. However, keeping with accurate description of condition, I thought that I should mention it.
