BC JADE VINTAGE PENDENT PYRAMID SHAPE [SOLD]

This Wonderful Vintage Semi Precious Jade Pendant is probably of Canadian origin and is framed in 14Kt. gold plated frame and is referred to as BC jade. It measures 1/2" Long by 1/2" Wide by 1/2" High at the apex of the Pyramid. The color is superior and is a vibrant green. It dates approximately 1960.

COMMENT: The color of this Jade Pendant is certainly the color for managing the passionate feelings within which is so essential for ones well being in terms of daily affairs and psychological well being in terms of the affairs of the heart.

HISTORY OF JADE: Jadeite and Nephrite, the two stones known as Jade, have been called several names throughout history. The Chinese used Nephrite long before they were exposed to Jadeite and called Nephrite yu. Europeans originally called Jadeite fei-ts’ui but that name disappeared as Jade use waned. When contact with other continents grew, the other cultures reintroduced Europe to the stone. Nephrite gets its name from the Greek word for Kidney and jade comes from the French word for the region of the loins on the body. Both of these word origins come from the New World inhabitants’ view that Jade could heal ailments of the kidneys.
