Vietnamese Vintage Porcelain Soup Bowls Oriental Scene

These Great Oriental Scene Soup Bowls Are Transfer Printed on a “Porcelain” medium and were manufactured in Vietnam approximately 1920. They are flanged or rimmed at the edge. Each measures 9 1/4'' Diameter. The scene depicted would be ceremonial with the high priestess or religious leader in the center with three wise men at each side.

COMMENT: These bowls are unique in the fact that they are transfer printed on porcelain rather than on earthenware and are not hand painted underglaze which is the case with most oriental porcelains.

CONDITION: Excellent except a little wear to the gold gilded edges.
