MAHOGANY ANTIQUE SHEET MUSIC CABINET [SOLD]

This gorgeous genuine antique mahogany sheet music cabinet resounds elegance of Edwardian times and can easily be brought forward into a contemporary environment. It dates circa 1910.

This Genuine Antique Mahogany Sheet Music Cabinet is of either American or Canadian origin and was made during the Edwardian era and dates approximately 1910. It has a curved shaped back-splash. The cabinet or chest has two back straight legs and two front cabriole legs. The cabinet has one drawer above the closed cupboard. The cupboard door opens to reveal four shelves. This music cabinet has all of its original brass hardware. It has a total height measurement of 40.50" by a length 18" length (left to right) and a width of 16.50" (front to wall).

COMMENT: This small yet very elegant piece of antique furniture was originally intended as a sheet music cabinet. However with today's trends of converting many antique pieces into bathroom vanities, for example dressers, buffets, sideboards, washstands, etc., this sweet little antique music sheet cabinet if one so desires could easily be converted into a gorgeous bathroom vanity. However I being more of a purist would suggest other versatile uses for it such as a piece in which to house magazines, documents or even an extra cabinet to accessorize a ladies vanity for cosmetics, gloves, small evening bags, etc. This way you have preserved the total originality of the piece.
