VICTORIAN ANTIQUE OAK SIDEBOARD OR BUFFET [SOLD]
This gorgeous genuine antique oak sideboard or buffet was manufactured during the late Victorian era and dates approximately 1880-1900.
This Victorian genuine antique solid oak sideboard has a very attractive wide back-splash that has a very ornate scroll applied. The two bottom doors also have applied ornate scroll work, as well as each side. It has three top drawers of which the middle is bow front. It has one long bottom table linen drawer. All solid brass ornate hardware is original. All four legs have original metal casters. It is of either American or Canadian manufacture. No factory label was found. It may have had a paper label once upon a time which would have identified the manufacturer. However over the years, such paper labels do go missing which is commonplace.
COMMENT: Pompous and gracious elegance of Victorian times is exhibited in this wonderful antique oak sideboard. This is a wonderful piece of furniture that can add class to any home whether one likes to decorate with antiques or simply wants a quality piece with which to decorate. With today's decorating trends, many people are converting such antique pieces into bathroom vanities for double sinks which looks simply charming.
