Truly A Great Rarity! This petite creamer was made by the Leeds Pottery in Yorkshire, England. The factory was first established in 1758 and had various proprietors when it started up production.
Only a small proportion of Leeds wares bear factory marks. In 1820, this factory went bankrupt and work was carried on by various other potters at this same location. This creamer dates 1812. This creamware creamer with a lion spout stands rectangular in shape and has clip corner design. It has two portrait busts in light blue relief as well as embossed acanthus leaves on each paneled corner.
